Here's the thing. I don't much care for modern social media; big companies suckin all my shit and doing god knows what with it. So I'm not going to do it to you. I'm trying to build something better here! When I do collect data from you it will always be transparent, with your consent, and only in order to offer you dope service.
Limited Use: See You Soon uses Google OAuth for account login and calendar event import. Allowing Google Calendar API access is optional when using See You Soon. You may add or revoke API scopes at any time. See You Soon's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs strictly adheres to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Google Data: See You Soon accesses Google data in incremental form; when you use Google to log in, we access and store your email address, profile photo and user name. We use this information to create an account for you create a basic profile (all of which you can change). When you add Calendar Import, we access a read-only copy of your Google Calendar(s), and store a parsed version that includes event descriptions, locations and timestamps. We then use this to suggest trips for you to add to your account. For more information about how we store and share this data (and other data), please read the Privacy and Security section below.
See You Soon relies on you sharing your trip information with the app. The app only knows which city you'll be in (and when), not exactly which hotel you're staying in or where you eat, etc.
This data is only shared with other users that you accept as friends.
You can limit which friends can see which trips.
This data is kept securely in a non-internet-facing database.
Optionally, you may enable See You Soon to automatically import trips from your Google Calendar. This permission is for read-only access to your calendars. We parse this data and store the parsed format which contains sensitive information, including bookings and flights tied to your calendar. This data will then be used to create trips on your See You Soon account. You may keep these trips private or share them with friends; the calendar data (bookings, flights, etc) itself will never be shared in any form.
Any and all data you give See You Soon will never be shared with any third party, except when required by law.
For the time being, if you want a copy of all the data we have from you, want us to delete all your data, and/or want us to close your account, please send an email to seeyou@soon.social. The email must originate from the same address as used in your account
In the future we want to add an automated tool for this. And by we I mean me, cause this is a solo-dev project.
Obviously, if you request to delete your data or close your account, this may affect your ability to use See You Soon.
See You Soon uses session cookies to keep you logged in and to remember if you clicked an invite link before logging in. Otherwise, we don't use cookies.
